National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) and National School Lunch Week (NSLW) are yearly events designated to highlight the importance of a well-balanced breakfast and lunch to the health and well-being of our nation's children. NSLW occurs every October while NSBW occurs every March, providing an opportunity to promote awareness for healthy school meals in the fall and spring of each year.
The district and ARAMARK gear up annually to celebrate with students across the country and get them excited about eating healthy meals in the school cafeteria. As part of our celebration, we use specially-designed menus, posters, banners and fun promotions, built around the year's featured theme. Both special weeks offer the district an opportunity to communicate and promote the food service program to both parents and students.
