Lubbock Elementary Schools

We all know that good nutrition positively impacts student performance. A proper diet improves physical and mental alertness, fights illness and gives students the energy and nutrients to keep their body functioning at top ability. This is especially important in today’s world of “hyper-scheduled” students.

We offer monthly menus designed to meet the sophisticated tastes and preferences of elementary school students with complex flavors and grab-n-go options for students on the move. In addition, we develop special menus to celebrate two key weeks every year: National School Lunch Week in October and National School Breakfast Week in March.

Fresh Fruits and Vegetable Program

Parkway, Bozeman, Bean, Jackson and Wheatley Elementary were chosen to be part of a Fresh Fruits and Vegetable Program funded through grant money, by the Texas Department of Agriculture. This means they have been given the opportunity to try different fresh fruits and vegetables every Tuesday and Thursday in their classroom. Each produce is accompanied by an education piece presented by their teachers and written by ARAMARK Education’s Registered Dietitian, Holli Booe. We are very excited about this program and are grateful for the money so your child can be exposed to so many different types of produce.
